Anne Heche’s podcast boss pays tribute to ‘irreplaceable’ actress after death at 53

Anne Heche’s podcast boss is remembering the actress after she died on Friday aged 53.

Though the star’s rep confirmed she is “brain dead,” making her legally dead under California law, her heart is still beating and she remains on life support in order to donate her organs.

Ryan Tillotson, the producer of Heche’s podcast “Better Together,” spoke out following the sad news of Heche’s death, saying she was nothing short of “irreplaceable.”

Tillotson said the star will be remembered for “her big heart, her commitment to the people she loved, and the fearless way she fought for what she believed in.”

“More than a beloved host, Anne was my friend, collaborator, and a damn good actress. Anne added life to every room she entered with her tremendous energy and welcoming presence,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of her.

Tillotson recalled the Emmy winner said her podcast, which he calls a “belief system,” enabled her to “talk openly and share stories.”

“We’re committed to continuing her legacy in that way,” he said, adding that Los Angeles “is a quieter and sadder place without her.”

“It’s surreal to think I’ll no longer be seeing her every week. My heart hurts. I love you, Anne,” he said. “Please send all your love and support to her two boys, Atlas and Homer, and the rest of her chosen family.”

The actress, who is best known for her role as Patricia Campbell in NBC’s drama “The Brave,” was unable to regain consciousness after suffering horrific burns in the crash on August 5.
