Bob Saget’s cause of death has been revealed.
The late “Full House” star died after an unspecified trauma to his head, his family confirmed to Page Six in a statement Wednesday evening.
“In the weeks since Bob’s passing, we have been overwhelmed with the incredible outpouring of love from Bob’s fans, which has been a great comfort to us and for which we are eternally grateful,” they wrote.
“Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities’ investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us.”
“The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma. They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved.”
“As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter.”
Meanwhile, sources with “direct knowledge” told TMZ that Saget died of “brain bleed;” the outlet reported that there was “an obvious bruise” on the back of his head.

Shortly after the news broke, Saget’s family also confirmed his sudden death with a heartbreaking statement of their own.
“We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today. He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter,” the Saget family said in a statement to Page Six.
“Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world.”

Saget was best known for his role as Danny Tanner on “Full House.”©Warner Bros/Courtesy Everett CCelebrities and former co-stars, including Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, expressed their shock and heartbreak about the news shortly thereafter.
“Bob was the most loving, compassionate and generous man. We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has,” the Olsen twins said in a statement to Page Six.
“We are thinking of his daughters, wife and family and are sending our condolences.”

Saget is survived by his wife, Kelly Rizzo, and three daughters from a previous marriage, Aubrey Saget, Lara Melanie Saget and Jennifer Belle Saget.
