Bob Saget’s widow, Kelly Rizzo, stands by autopsy report amid claim he felt ill

Bob Saget’s widow is standing by the medical examiner’s report after a crew member claimed the late comic did not “feel good” the night he died.

“The records released tell the entire story — that is, Bob passed away after a fall and hitting his head in his hotel room,” the Saget family’s attorney, Brian H. Bieber, said in a statement to Page Six Thursday on behalf of Kelly Rizzo.

“Now that the medical examiner’s and police department’s records have been released after their respective thorough investigations, the Saget family would appreciate privacy to mourn in peace.”

Rosalie Cocci, the showrunner for what would be the “Full House” alum’s final comedy show, told Orange County, Fla., police that Saget allegedly said his hearing was “off” and that he had a “sore throat” before taking the stage on Jan. 8.

Cocci claimed Saget “stated” that he was suffering from “long-term COVID” and it was “taking his body a long time to get over it.” She also noted that the actor “seemed OK” and was “cracking jokes” during his nearly two-hour performance.

“He wasn’t sweating, he didn’t miss a beat, nothing slurred. … He came out very energetic,” she said of Saget’s performance.

The autopsy report, obtained by Page Six, confirmed Saget still had the coronavirus in his system at the time of his death. It also showed that the former “Fuller House” star had multiple skull fractures as well as bleeding and contusions to his brain and that his death was “the result of blunt head trauma.”

His death on Jan. 9 was ruled an accident, with authorities ruling out foul play. Cops reportedly believe that Saget had fallen and smacked his head on the marble bathroom floor before going to bed, where he was found dead. He was 65.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department released photos earlier this week of the Ritz-Carlton hotel room where Saget died.
