Brian Austin Green says he picks his ‘battles’ while co-parenting with Megan Fox

Brian Austin Green has his co-parenting priorities straight.

The actor explained the importance of “pick[ing] your battles” while raising three children with his ex-wife, Megan Fox.

Green, 50, revealed his “No. 1 rule” to E! News Monday, saying he “make[s] sure that everything is centered around the experience of the kids.”

The “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum noted that co-parenting “of course” affects Noah, 11, Bodhi, 10, and Journey, 7.

“People make a mistake of thinking that they’re gonna do things so the separation doesn’t affect the kids,” he said. “The only choice you have is how it affects the kids.

“The person that you were with that you’re now separated from, you guys are separated for a reason. Because you didn’t get along. So, you can’t expect to then get along after the fact in raising your kids.”

With that in mind, Green has decided that co-parenting is “not about … getting along” with Fox — or his ex Vanessa Marcil, with whom he shares 22-year-old son Kassius.

“It’s about us co-parenting, which is a totally different situation,” he said.

The “Masked Singer” alum and the “Jennifer’s Body” star, 37, married in June 2010 and broke up five years later — only to reconcile and separate again in 2020.

By the time their divorce was finalized in 2022, Green had moved on with Sharna Burgess and welcomed son Zane with the “Dancing With the Stars” pro.

He got down on one knee in the summer of 2023.

Fox, meanwhile, got engaged to Machine Gun Kelly in 2022 but confirmed in March that she and the rapper, 33, had called off the commitment.

While the actress has not spoken to speculation that they are living separately, her interview with E! News over the weekend raised eyebrows.

“Learn a skill or develop a hobby and do not waste your energy on boys,” she told the outlet. “All they’re gonna [sic] do is drain you. Just move on. Invest in yourself.”

Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, cryptically commented, “Preach.”
