Brian Laundrie may be gone, but his presence still lurks in the home where his parents, Chris and Roberta Laundrie, still live.
Is his spirit haunting the home to the point where they are ready to sell it? That seems to be the word on the street.
Recently, there’s been chatter surrounding the Laundrie’s home and their plans to put it on the market.
Are the Laundrie’s ready to unload their home?
MEGAOn Tuesday, November 30, the New York Post reported that Chris and Roberta put up a “For Sale” sign in their front yard of their North Port, FL home.
This is the same home Brian and Gabby Petito resided in prior to leaving for their cross-country road trip that ended in tragedy.
For weeks, the house became the scene of mass media hysteria and intense law enforcement scrutiny.
Now, the Laundrie family lawyer, Steven Bertolino, is setting the record straight on those “For Sale” sign rumors.
The “For Sale” sign was a hoax
Bertolino told The Sun the rumors are not true.
“It’s untrue, the sign is a hoax,” he told the publication.
As for how a realistic “For Sale” sign got into the Laundrie’s yard, Bertolino suspects it done on a computer.
“It was either photoshop or someone put the sign, took the picture, and then took the sign down,” he added. “We don’t know nor do we care.”
The Sun reports the home was built in 1991, has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It has a screened enclosure on the porch and a swimming pool that was built in 1992.
Real estate site Redfin estimates the home to be worth around $297,000.00.
Brian returned home to the Florida home without Gabby in early September. He was reported missing by his parents on September 17, and his remains were discovered and identified on October 21.

A day after his body was discovered, the FBI confirmed through dental records that the remains were in fact Brian’s.
On November 23, it was revealed Brian committed suicide in the Carlton Nature Reserve near the North Port home.
Bertolino revealed to Chris and Roberta that their son died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Chris and Roberta were seen hiking on Tuesday, November 30, in the same park where their son’s remains were discovered.
According to reports, the Laundrie’s spent about three hours hiking in the park. The hike comes one month after they assisted law enforcement in discovering Brian’s remains.
“They go [there] to hike and mourn their son,” Bertolino said.
