Chrishell Stause responds to claims she’s a ‘bully’ on ‘Selling Sunset’

Chrishell Stause is defending her right to not always “be nice” after some viewers called her a “bully” for her actions on “Selling Sunset.”

In a video shared to her Instagram Stories on Monday, the reality star, 40, said she noticed that, over several seasons, fans have made comments claiming she is “actually not really nice” or “fake nice” or “actually a bully.”

“To all the nice girls out there, listen, you try and be nice, you try and do the right thing — I’ve worked in this business a long time,” she explained.

“I’ve kept so many friendships, I try and always be professional, [but] at the end of the day, you don’t always have to be nice if somebody keeps pushing you and does not respect your boundaries, and that is OK. PSA for today.”

The former soap star added in a caption over the video, “Just my opinion of course! But I will not feel bad for doing this when we deal with SO much more and see SO much more than what makes it on the show. FYI.”

Stause has been in an ongoing feud with “Selling Sunset” co-star Christine Quinn since Season 1 of the hit Netflix series.

In the most recent season, which premiered last Friday, Stause advised her then-boyfriend and Quinn’s boss, Jason Oppenheim, in one of the scenes to fire Quinn for saying Stause was “f–king the boss.”

“The fact that Chrishell thinks she has the authority to tell Jason to fire Christine, is the exact reason why she shouldn’t be in a relationship with boss #sellingsunset,” one user tweeted, receiving more than 1,000 likes.

Another agreed, “This is probably unpopular opinion but Chrishell has been messy. It’s scary how obsessed she is with Christine. How do you go to trying to get Jason to fire her? Then question if Chelsea even sell real estate. This sleeping with boss got to her head #SellingSunset.”

However, some did come to Stause’s defense, with one person in particular noting, “so we simply forgot the bullying chrishell and the rest of the girls have experienced from christine because she shed a few tears?? she deserves to be fired she is toxic and is at odds with every single person in the office. what’s the common denominator. #sellingsunset.”

Meanwhile, Quinn, 33, has maintained that she doesn’t actually care about all the drama that takes place on the show.

The Netflix star told us in November 2021, “I think the stuff that they’re mad about is so silly and trivial. The stuff that they get upset about is so little and small and silly.”
