Coco Austin defends ‘unconventional’ parenting after bathing daughter in sink

Coco Austin is clapping back at criticism after bathing her 6-year-old in the kitchen sink.

The actress defended her “unconventional” parenting decision in a Sunday tweet.

“Wow just Wow! Here we go again!” the model wrote via Twitter amid backlash over the weekend. “Giving my lil girl a bath in the sink went Viral? SMH!

“People, you gotta know by now that I’m an unconventional mother,” she continued. “I do what works and is easier on me. Some may want to take some pointers rather than rag on me!”

The 43-year-old’s tweet came four days after she posted a TikTok video showing Chanel’s fashion show prep.

The little one played on her iPad while taking a bath in the kitchen in the Sept. 21 footage, with Austin explaining, “The sink is easiest when you have to be fast.”

Many of the “Ice Loves Coco” alum’s social media followers praised her resourcefulness, while others found fault.

“I think she’s a bit old for the sink,” one TikTok user wrote.

Another added, “She’s definitely old enough to bathe herself.”

Austin shares her daughter with Ice-T, and the “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” star has yet to respond to any of the criticism.

When his wife was slammed in May for pushing Chanel in a stroller, however, the rapper stood up for Austin via Twitter.

“MFs ain’t got s–t else to talk about,” Ice-T wrote at the time. “SMH. lol.”

Austin chimed in, “Oh lord!! Really people? The world loves to criticize literary [sic] everything i do!”

The couple have found themselves under fire from the parenting police multiple times over the years, with trolls often bashing the length of Austin’s breast-feeding journey.

“[Chanel] wants to get close to her mom. That’s what they do,” Ice-T told TMZ in September 2019 of Austin’s decision.

The actor noted that the little one also “eats f–king cheeseburgers,” adding, “They make it like the baby only … breast-feeds.”
