So when Redditor u/elledekker got their first gig after college, they went above and beyond trying to stand out and build their professional brand.
Their urge to impress didn’t stop with understanding the ropes. u/elledekker continued to push hard, hoping it would all pay off during the appraisal. However, no matter how good their performance reports looked, u/elledekker’s manager decided to give them the same raise that every “fresher” got.
