A Walt Disney World Cast Member and a Disney World Guest, who was visiting from California, got into an altercation over where to sit on a ride.

The incident reportedly led to the Cast Member being shoved by the Guest.

According to an Orange County Sheriff’s incident report, which Disney fan site WDWNT obtained this week, an altercation between a Disney World Cast Member and Disney Guest broke out at the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover attraction located at the Magic Kingdom.

The incident took place in March, but the police report was just recently released and detailed the altercation. Around 3:30 p.m. on March 21, a 28-year-old Cast Member was working at the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover attraction, directing Guests onto the PeopleMover and telling them which car to sit in.

Jennifer, a 47-year-old Guest visiting Disney World from California, and her husband, John, were the last members of their family members to board the attraction. When Jennifer and John approached the Disney World Cast Member, everyone else from their party was already seated.

“Just before getting onto the PeopleMover, a Cast Member advised them there might not be enough room for them due to the rest of their family members already onboard,” the sheriff’s report stated. “[The Cast Member] held out her arm and pointed. She intended to redirect them towards another car, as the one the guests were trying to get into was at capacity.”

Jennifer then reportedly grabbed the Disney Cast Member’s arm and pushed her out of the way.

“Jennifer told her that the rest of the people on the PeopleMover were her family and moved past to get on the ride,” the sheriff’s report stated.

The Disney World Cast Member stopped the ride and called her supervisor to report the incident.

Law Enforcement Gets Involved

Law enforcement then got involved. When speaking to an officer, the report said that Jennifer denied pushing the Cast Member intentionally, claiming she “already had forward momentum” when she made contact with the Cast Member’s arm.

There were no cameras at the boarding station where the incident took place, and no third-party witnesses, leading this to be deemed as a hearsay situation.

The sheriff’s officer investigating the incident noted it “was not only incidental, but not intentional, and without the express purpose of causing bodily harm.”

“An incident report would be generated to document the incident,” the sheriff’s report noted, but no criminal charges or arrests were filed.

This is not the first time an altercation has been reported at Walt Disney World. On Monday, May 15, two families fought at Disney’s Magic Kingdom theme park entrance, seemingly over a photo spot. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to the fight at the theme park around 2:30 p.m., after one family reportedly stood before the 100th-anniversary sign when another family wanted to take a photo of the first family standing. The second family allegedly asked the other family to move out of the way, which is when a family member punched another member of the other family in the face.

That is when a full-on brawl broke out, with people punching, drawing blood, and ripping each other’s shirts.
