Dolores Catania’s boyfriend Paulie reacts to Frank’s Buzz Lightyear comparison

To Ireland and beyond!

Dolores Catania’s boyfriend, Paul “Paulie” Connell, is laughing off Frank Catania’s comparison to Buzz Lightyear.

During Tuesday’s “Real Housewives of New Jersey” Season 12 reunion conclusion, Dolores’ ex-husband explained why he’s not too keen on her new man, joking that the Dublin native resembles the “Toy Story” action figure.

“I was kind of sad!! TBH,” Connell joked to The Holy Bravo when asked how he felt about the comment. “Now everyone knows I’m a real superhero.”

While the hunky businessman took the jab in stride, “Patterson Dolores” was far from tickled.

“You son of a bitch!” she shouted at Frank after he made the remark. “You’re a f–king jerk-off.”

“Listen, me and Paulie don’t exactly see eye to eye,” the beloved “Househusband” explained to reunion wrangler Andy Cohen. “Paulie I don’t think understands mine and Dolores’ relationship.”

As Cohen pointed out, few would. The ex-spouses-turned-best-friends are so close that Frank actually lives with Dolores’ most recent ex-boyfriend, David Principe.

“Dolores is happy. That’s all that matters to me,” Frank continued. “But I get defensive of our relationship.”

According to Frank, he “made the effort” to get to know Connell and even invited him to dinner, but the get-together “never happened.”

Dolores, who was still seething from the Buzz Lightyear crack, interjected to explain, “Give it some time. Let us get established in our relationship so that he can be secure to meet you. We [Dolores and Frank] are a lot to handle, so understand that.”

“I 100 percent do. I’m not used to it,” Frank replied. “I just expected more from him because he’s a superhero.”

During Page Six’s exclusive Zoom interview with Dolores last week, we got to meet the man of the hour, who made sure to flaunt his hero-esque muscles before gushing over his “down-to-Earth” leading lady.

“What you see is what you get. There’s nothing put on with her,” the Eco Electrical Services CEO told us in his charming dialect. “People ask me, like, ‘Hey, is the show real?’ I’m like, ‘It’s very real. That’s how honest she is.'”

“She’s just a very genuine, good person, and it’s just nice to have somebody that supports you and has your back.”
