Elvis & Priscilla Presley, who were once happily married for less than a decade, split a few years before Elvis’ death in 1977.
And now, more than three decades after his passing, their honeymoon destination home in Palm Springs, California, is heading back to the market for millions of dollars.

Back in the sixties, Elvis rented the then-modern house for nearly a year, beginning in 1966. He and Priscilla then celebrated there following their Las Vegas wedding the next year.
The building is a notable structure in the vicinity that never ceases to draw attention from tourists, fans of the legend, and lovers of architecture. The four-bedroom house was initially built for developer Bob Alexander and his family. But now, its sellers are Seattle-based investors Dan Bridge and Paul Armitstead.
68-year-old Bridge is reportedly a rabbi who has worked in the nonprofit industry, while 67-year-old Armitstead is an architect qualified in designing apartment neighborhoods.
In addition, the former brothers-in-law have invested jointly in house refurbishment in Seattle and Palm Springs over the years. It is worth mentioning that Bridge was previously married to Mr. Armitstead’s sister.
The investors initially visited Presley’s Palm Springs honeymoon house less than five years ago for an occasion, part of Palm Springs Modernism Week.
The yearly event is for lovers of architecture which Bridge confirmed, adding that the building’s circular walls and batwing-shaped roof reminded him of a stealth bomber. In his words, “It looked like it was ready to take off.”
Spanning about 4,700-square-foot, the Palm Springs house was designed by a “Modernist” architect, William Krisel, known for his California characteristic homes, according to the Palm Springs Historic Site Preservation Board.
The sellers, Bridge and Armitstead, noted that the building has no corners; instead, its “peanut-brittle-style stone walls curve around circular rooms.” The living room features a nearly 60-foot-long, built-in rounded couch that grips the walls and surrounds a central fireplace. There is also a pool outside, shaped like a pentagon but without the original tennis court.
It was reported that the Presleys were meant to wed in the house but altered their plans for Las Vegas after local media heard of them. Nevertheless, they returned there on Frank Sinatra’s Learjet after the Vegas ceremony with Elvis carrying his bride over the entrance, singing “The Hawaiian Wedding Song.”
Such precise information was revealed in Marlene Wagman-Geller’s book, “And the Rest Is History: The Famous (and Infamous) First Meetings of the World’s Most Passionate Couples.”
The former couple’s destination wedding home was initially designed as a personal abode. After its completion, it was called “The House of Tomorrow,” given its modern features comprising electric controls to regulate the temperature and outdoor lights and sprinkler systems.
MEGABased on a 1962 article in Look magazine, the features were listed alongside a story done on the Alexanders who owned the building. It was dubbed a “$300,000 pleasure dome that proves California has only begun to show how luxurious things can be on this planet.”
The write-up represented the twosome as the “It” couple in the city, and their lifestyle was fully detailed. Unfortunately, they died in a plane crash several years after the home’s completion.

Given the June-released biopic “Elvis,” many fans got to see the legacy of the King of Rock and Roll, including his relationship with his sweetheart, Priscilla. Several years before the movie’s release, the “Dallas” actress opened up about her memories of Elvis with Jenna Bush Hager on “Today.”
She said it all began with his voice before pointing out that people got fascinated whenever he sang as “it was like he was singing to you.” Priscilla continued, “He wasn’t bad to look at either. Everyone had a crush on him. They’re still having crushes on him. He was truly beautiful. He woke up beautiful.”
It was admittedly a “good life” for the couple who met in 1958 when the “Naked Gun” star was still in high school. And their ten-year age gap did not stop them from building a swoon-worthy fairytale relationship.
