Sister duo Aly & AJ took Disney Channel by storm in the mid-aughts with their cover of “Do You Believe In Magic?” Nearly two decades after the band released their Radio Disney-approved first album “Into The Rush” and their follow-up LP, “Insomniac,” which includes the break-up banger “Potential Breakup Song,” the duo is now all grown up, and releasing music to reflect their adulthood experiences!

After taking a hiatus from the group (they performed under the name 78violet for a time), Aly and AJ returned with an LP called “Ten Years,” which contained a bevy of previously released singles in 2018, which was chock full of 1980s-influenced synthesizer sounds.
Ever since then, the duo has released a large collection of singles, and followed up “Ten Years” with the album “a touch of the beat gets you up on your feet gets you out and into the sun,” released in 2021.

Aly & AJ Invite Fans To ‘Lay [Their] Heads Down’ With Dreamy New Single!
Aly & AJ aren’t slowing down anytime soon! They have been on a number of tours in recent years to support their records, and now they’re looking ahead to a new era!
Earlier this week they announced “Baby Lay Your Head Down” on Instagram, by posting the single’s cover art.
“Baby Lay Your Head Down” is the second single from the band’s upcoming LP; the first single is called “With Love From.”
The “video visualizer” for the former single is now out; an occasion the band commemorated on Instagram.
“you always serve with visuals,” a fan commented on the visualizer post.
“IT’S SO FREAKING AMAZING,” another fan proclaimed!
“I’m so in love with this era,” a fan gushed.
“This album is going to be a summer anthem! I already know it,” a fan predicted, with a sun emoji!
Fans Will Be Picking Their Heads Up With Aly & AJ’s Next Announcement!
Dreamy singles will soon turn into a slew of new songs on Aly and AJ’s brand new album!
The duo announced their upcoming LP “With Love From” on their Instagram Wednesday afternoon. Aly and AJ shared the album cover in their photo set, and a snapshot of the LP’s vinyl edition and CD edition, along with behind-the-scenes snapshots of the duo recording in the studio.
The sisters wrote, “Our next LP, With Love From, is out March 15th. We put our heart and soul into it. The second single Baby Lay Your Head Down, is out today. You can pre-order the LP on vinyl, cassette, and CD at the link in bio,” in the post.
The duo also announced a tour behind “With Love From” earlier this week on Instagram as well! Aly and AJ will be making nearly 20 tour stops beginning in the Spring! The tour begins on March 30th in Oakland, California, and will wrap up in September in Los Angeles.
Aly & AJ’s commemorated their more mature sound in a monumental way! They released an ‘adult’ version of their 2007 break-up anthem “Potential Breakup Song” in 2020. Yes, it features a lot of swearing!
