As part of her media tour to promote her new cookbook, Bündchen appeared on the “Tonight Show” and revealed a near-death experience she once faced during a fragrance campaign.

The revelation occurred during a game of True Confessions with host Fallon and guest Brady. As per the game’s rules, Bündchen was given two envelopes, one containing a lie about herself and the other something true.

Bündchen selected the second envelope, which revealed, “I did a photo shoot on a fake iceberg in Iceland, and I almost fell off into the ocean.” Although Fallon and Brady guessed it was false, Bündchen stunningly revealed that it did happen.

She continued, per Daily Mail, stating that she “would have been dead in seconds” if she had fallen, as she was only wearing a slip dress and the water was extremely cold.

Bündchen added about the campaign, “It was for this fragrance called Oxygene. You got to Google it. You can see it actually. It’s on the internet. It’s called Oxygene was the name of the fragrance.”

After the game, Bündchen shared her inspiration for writing a cookbook, explaining that it originated from her passion for food.

“You know, I love food. Yes, I really enjoy food. And I had all the playdates were always at my house. So, all the kids, you know, the moms would come back and be like, ‘How did you get my kid to eat vegetable?’ I’m like, ‘It’s so easy, just, like, roast them.'” Bündchen told Fallon.

Bündchen revealed that she started “sharing recipes with moms” and realized that she could reach a wider audience after one of her sisters suggested that put her ideas in a book.

“Anything that’s good for me, that feels good, I want everyone to know and everyone to have it,” she added. “So that’s kind of like my way of sharing nutritious, delicious, simple stuff because I’m not a chef. I just want to eat good stuff.”

Speaking further about the book, Bündchen shared that it was not like the conventional book out there, saying the “big thing” about her book is “meal planning.”

She added, “Because I think a lot of stuff that happens with moms, they get overwhelmed because they get home, and it’s like, ‘I’m starving, my kids are screaming,’ you know?”

“You’re just like, ‘I want peace, please stop,’ you know? So the thing is, if you have meal planning, it’s amazing.”

For the model, seeing her mom feed all six kids also helped. She explained that her mom had a schedule for all their meals and claimed that the schedule was designed so that there was never any food waste.

Bündchen continued: “There was never any food waste, and we always had food because if you’re prepping, you can have things planned ahead of time, so when you come home, you can make a meal in, like, ten minutes.”

It had been over a year and a half, and I was going to all the specialists. I wanted to feel better. I didn’t know what to do.”

Luckily, she started to get better after she consulted a naturopath, who advised her to change her diet and do more exercise.

“After having a year and a half of, I would say, one of the worst times in my life, everything changed,” she continued. “Like, I became a different person. I started practicing meditation. I started practicing yoga. I started practicing breath work.”
