Gwyneth Paltrow compares daughter Apple going to college to giving birth

Gwyneth Paltrow is sending her daughter Apple off to college, and compared the emotional moment to giving birth.

“I know this sounds nuts, [but] it feels almost as profound as giving birth,” the actress, 49, said during an interview on “CBS Sunday Morning.”

Paltrow – who shares Apple, 18, and Moses, 16, with ex-husband Chris Martin – did not share any further details on which school the family chose.

However, she did highlight the great relationship she maintains with the “Coldplay” frontman, whom she announced she was “consciously uncoupling” from back in 2016.

“He’s completely my family, and I love him,” she said during the interview.

“And he would do anything for me. I would do anything for him. He would do anything for our kids. We really did commit to wanting our children to be as unscathed by the divorce as possible.”

The former couple’s eldest daughter has been making headlines in recent months, but not necessarily for the right reasons.

Just last month, Page Six exclusively revealed that cops shut down a rowdy Hamptons party thrown by Paltrow’s mini-me teenager.

A source told us at the time that Apple invited around 50 friends to her mom’s sprawling estate in Amagansett on Aug. 13.

Paltrow also revealed she maintains a great relationship with her ex-husband, Chris Martin.

The bash became so noisy that multiple neighbors called the cops, who put an end to the party and allegedly issued Apple a fine.

“Apple invited too many friends to her mom’s house, and things got out of hand,” the source explained.

“They were partying like rock stars and making so much noise that multiple neighbors were furious and called the police, who shut the party down,” the insider continued.

“Staff from the town clerk’s office also attended to see if the party was a code violation. You can’t have more than 50 people at a gathering in the area without a permit.”

A spokesperson for the East Hampton Town Ordinance Enforcement Department confirmed to Page Six that they went to Paltrow’s sprawling property following complaints about noise.

“When we got there, we found there to be less than 50 people there, so they were within code. If anyone got a ticket, it would be from the police,” they explained.
