How Kim Kardashian Dropped 21 Pounds In A Few Months

Kim Kardashian continues to turn heads with her slimmed-down silhouette, something that made major 2022 headlines as she revealed having dropped 21 pounds. The reality star, 43, initially lost 16 pounds in just three weeks to fit into her 2022 Met Gala dress, but it looks like the new lifestyle habits she’d adopted encouraged her to keep going. While many criticized Kim for losing weight for alleged vanity purposes, some feel that she’s set a good example for healthy living. The SKIMS mogul has also opened up to reveal how she lost the weight, plus her mindset throughout the process.

Kim Kardashian Dropped 16 Pounds For Met Gala




Kim got busy slimming down to fit into a vintage gold gown once worn by bombshell Marilyn Monroe.


“Yeah you know I looked at it like a role. I really wanted to wear this dress,” Kim said on The Today Show.


“It was really important to me. It actually taught me a lot about my lifestyle and my health and since then, afterwards, I continued to eat really healthy. I am down 21 pounds now. I’m not trying to lose any more weight but I have more energy than ever. I cut out so much sugar. A lot of junk food I was eating. I didn’t even realize it. A lot of fried foods. And I completely changed my lifestyle,” she added.

Losing Even More Weight




Of the run-up to the Gala, Kim continued: “I always thought she was extremely curvy. I imagined I might be smaller in some places where she was bigger and bigger in some places where she was smaller. So when it didn’t fit me I wanted to cry because it can’t be altered at all.”


Kim has also revealed that she turned to sauna sweat suits to help lose more weight, something that singer Britney Spears once made headlines for using. Kim even ran on the treadmill in the suit, putting herself through the ordeal twice a day as she cut carbs and sugars out of her diet.


Living The Vegan Life?




In May 2021, Kim made headlines for revealing that she was almost completely plant-based. Confirming that she’s mostly vegan, the mom of four shared that her dinners were either vegan tacos or plant-based sushi, although the Beyond Meat bags were likely sent for free as Kardashian fronted the plant-based brand.

“Best Breakfast! Someone recommended this veggie vegan bacon to me and OMG it is so good!” Kim wrote in an Instagram Story showing her enjoying the meat-free lifestyle.


Fans Are Calling Ozempic




While Kim insists that she lost the weight via careful eating and exercise, fans continue to wonder if she’s been using controversial weight loss drug Ozempic, something that stars including Oprah Winfrey and Sharon Osbourne have admitted to taking. Also raising eyebrows and sparking Ozempic allegations has been sister Khloe Kardashian, who also lost weight over 2022.
