Lauren Sánchez was very strategic in keeping her engagement to Jeff Bezos a secret.
The former news anchor, 53, brilliantly hid her engagement ring from the paps during her European trip with the Amazon CEO, 59, last week.
The pair arrived in Mallorca, Spain, on May 15, and it is believed that in the days that followed, Bezos popped the question, according to TMZ.
By May 17, the couple was seemingly already engaged.
In photos from that day, Sánchez’s diamond faced the inside of her hand and was not visible to the paparazzi snapping pics of her while she was aboard her fiancé’s $500 million superyacht.

That day, Bezos and the mother of three were photographed arriving in Cannes, France, and her engagement ring was clearly noticeable as her hand rested on the yacht’s railing.

During a dinner date at La Petite Maison on Monday night, the broadcaster proudly flashed her 20-carat ring to the paparazzi.
The massive sparkler is estimated to cost roughly $2.5 million, according to experts.
