Kate Middleton goes tropical chic in Tory Burch dress on Belize tour

Kate Middleton is getting into the island spirit already.

For the first full day of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Caribbean tour, the mother of three gave us major tropical vibes in a blue floral Tory Burch dress.

Featuring a smocked bodice, short puffed sleeves and pockets, the brightly colored dress was ideal for a day visiting the people of Belize.

Although the brand’s “Painted Roses” style unsurprisingly sold out in a flash, it’s available for all your spring and summer parties from Rent the Runway ($70 will get you a four-day rental).

Middleton, 40, is known for her diplomatic fashion and the dress features a thoughtful detail: the print’s colors include the blue, red and white of Belize’s flag.

The royal added a new pair of blue statement earrings to match her dress, choosing Sezanne’s beaded “Charlie” earrings ($70).

She brought back two old favorites to accessorize her laid-back look: a pair of tan Stuart Weitzman wedges she last wore on her 2014 tour of Australia, and Anya Hindmarch’s fan clutch, also last seen in 2014.

Visiting a cacao farm, the couple learned more about making chocolate and sustainable farming, with Middleton shading her eyes in a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses ($155).

The outing was a last-minute change of itinerary after protests from locals forced the cancellation of their original cacao plantation visit.

The dress later proved to be perfect for dancing, as both Cambridges strutted their stuff with villagers in Hopkins, Belize.

Middleton made a quick shoe change before strolling along the beach and hearing about local efforts to protect marine wildlife.

Wearing beachy (and now sold-out) white raffia espadrilles by Stella McCartney, the royal showed off her island-girl style with the shoes’ attached gold ankle bracelet detail.

“What a fantastic first full day here in Belize,” the couple tweeted. “We’ve already met so many incredible people and learnt so much about what makes this country so unique. Thank you to everyone we met today.”

Sunday’s events followed an official welcome to Belize on Saturday, and Middleton made a striking entrance to the country in another blue frock.

Wearing a custom lace peplum dress by Jenny Packham, the Duchess stepped off the plane in style to meet local dignitaries, adding a pair of stunning cobalt blue “Rebecca” heels by Emmy London ($415).

The Cambridges’ tour of the Caribbean is being carried out as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, with various members of the royal family visiting different countries that make up the Commonwealth of Nations.

Royal fashion fans might want to hold on to their wallets, because there’s much more island style to come.

After Belize, the couple will head to Jamaica Tuesday, wrapping up the trip in the Bahamas this weekend.

After such a strong start, we can’t wait to see what the rest of this tropical tour holds.
