Katie Maloney will always have Lala Kent’s back.
The “Vanderpump Rules” star doesn’t blame her pal for cutting ties with Tom Schwartz – after learning that he’s still hanging out with her estranged ex-fiancé, Randall Emmett.
“I can’t necessarily blame her ’cause she just really doesn’t want any ties to [Randall]. She did make it very clear to everyone that that was the case,” Maloney told Us Weekly on Saturday.
“For anyone to choose to maintain and keep a relationship or friendship going [with her], we kind of knew that those were the breaks.”
Maloney, 35, filed for divorce from Schwartz, 39, last month, while Kent, 31, called off her engagement to Emmett, 51, in October 2021 amid highly publicized cheating allegations.

“I’m not the type of person to say, like, ‘You have to pick a side,’ but in this situation, if you don’t pick my side or you remain Switzerland, like, I want nothing to do with you,” she explained.
Meanwhile, Emmett admitted that he was still in contact with a few of Kent’s co-stars on an episode of Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi’s podcast, “Genuinely GG,” last month.
He told the “Shahs of Sunset” star, 40, that he and Schwartz “still talk” and called former “Vanderpump Rules” star Jax Taylor a “friend.”
Kent admitted that if her pals didn’t “pick [her] side” after the breakup, she wanted “nothing to do with [them].”GC ImagesKent and Emmett share one child, 1-year-old daughter Ocean.
The reality star has made a slew of claims against the “Midnight in the Switchgrass” producer since their split, alleging that their relationship “wasn’t ever real,” that her engagement ring was “fake” and that she “couldn’t wait for [sex with him] to be over.”
For his part, Emmett told Gharachedaghi he would “never disparage” his former fiancée “no matter what happens in life … because she’s Ocean’s mom.”
