Kid Cudi had to cut his Coachella set short Sunday after he jumped off the stage and broke his ankle.
“Hey guys, so I broke my foot today at the show. just leaving the hospital. Never a broken bone before so this is all a bit crazy. I wanna thank u all for ur concerns and well wishes!!”
He continued, “I love yall man. I heard yall still ragin when I was offstage. Made me smile big ????”.
After the fall, Cudi was helped up by security guards who then walked him away to receive medical treatment.
Cudi was announced just last week as an addition to Coachella Weekend Two, filling in for Vampire Weekend who performed during Weekend One. During his 45-minute set, he several performed tracks from his recent album Insano.
Cudi last performed at Coachella in 2019. He ended his set that year with “Pursuit of Happiness’, a dedication to artists Nipsey Hussle and Mac Miller, both of whom died in 2018.
