Marilyn Monroe Dress Designer SLAMS Kim Kardashian: ‘It Was Made For Her’

Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala look is still being talked about, and not in the way she would hope!

The KKW Beauty mogul went to the extreme for this year’s Met Gala look.

Kim wore the late-Marilyn Monroe’s ICONIC “Happy Birthday” dress to Anna Wintour’s annual fashion event.

If you aren’t familiar with the dress, it is the exact dress Monroe wore while singing “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy.

It’s a gold sequined curve-hugging dress with a plunging neckline and open back.

The dress was made for an icon, and that’s exactly how one Hollywood costume designer feels.

Bob Mackie sketched the historical gown Monroe wore back in 1962, and he is not at all pleased with Kim wearing it.

The 82-year-old costume designer spoke to Entertainment Weekly to air his grievances with Kim trying to be Monroe.

“Marilyn was a goddess. A crazy goddess, but a goddess. She was just fabulous,” he said. “Nobody photographs like that. And it was done for her. It was designed for her. Nobody else should be seen in that dress.”

Kim Wearing Marilyn’s Dress Was A “Big Mistake”

Mackie certainly felt a type of way about Kim wearing the dress.

“I thought it was a big mistake,” the costume designer argued.
