Marvel’s ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Adds ‘Physical’ Actor Lou Taylor Pucci

Lou Taylor Pucci, star of Apple TV+’s Rose Byrne series Physical, has landed a role on Marvel Studios’/Disney+’s Daredevil: Born Again series. The part is under wraps.

The new installment, a continuation of the Marvel/Netflix series, but on Disney+, sees Charlie Cox reprising the title role as the blind attorney Matt Murdock-turned crimefighting vigilante. Vince D’Onofrio is also back asmob boss Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin. Kingpin also starred in Marvel Studios/Disney+’s Echo and Hawkeye.

Pucci play the hysterical surfer dude Tyler on Physical for two seasons, who together with his wife ran a 1980s aerobics studio. Byrne’s protagonist, an apsiring aerobics instructor who battles an eating disorder, steals some of their moves, but soon learns it’s best to work with the couple. Pucci’s credits including the movies The Informers, 2013’s Evil Dead and Fan Boys. On TV, his credits also include American Horror Story, Shameless, You’re the Worst and Netflix’s You.

Back in January, Marvel Studios’ Echo, another show that’s connected to Daredevil, ranked No. 1 on both Disney+ and Hulu after dropping all episodes on both platforms. The series repped several firsts for a Marvel show: the first TV-MA series developed at the studio, the first time every episode was available to subscribers at once and the first time a whole Marvel series has been available on both platforms at the same time.
