Millie Bobby Brown Told Skimpy Bikini Photo Was Risky

Millie Bobby Brown gained plenty of fan love as she shared beachy bikini snaps to her Instagram earlier this year, but her January snaps didn't come without drama in the comments. While The Blast often documents the outpouring of positive remarks left to the 20-year-old's social media posts, this share took on a different turn as some fans blamed Millie for posting content that might directly invite below-the-belt remarks. Braving a thong as she went buns out in profile, Millie lifted one foot on tip-toe while grinning in the sunshine, wearing her dark hair down and soaking wet and sending her fans a gorgeous smile while 100% makeup-free. In a caption showing she's a total Swiftie, Millie quoted from the 34-year-old singer's "Blank Space" track writing: "Cherry lips, crystal skies."

Plenty of fans picked up on the Swift reference, although others geared their comments toward that bikini.

In fact, it looks like the actress landed herself a fair amount of unwelcome remarks. Over 800 fans liked a comment slamming the sexualization, one reading: "I love Millie Bobby brown but the comments under this post are disgusting… it’s sad how people sexualize mills."

Bikini Pic Causes Massive Drama

The initial comment telling Millie that she doesn't want to be viewed in a certain way and yet "you post a bikini shot every day" garnered plenty of replies. The statement is also pretty inaccurate given that Millie rarely shares swimwear content on her Instagram.

"How about you stop blaming women for what they’re wearing, stop making excuses for men, it doesn’t need to be a “boys will be boys” world. You’re perpetuating that ideal by saying that. If we normalize women wearing whatever they want and stop giving men excuses maybe they’ll stop being, as you say, “pigs,'" one fan fired back.
