NeNe Leakes is taking her approach to fasting very seriously.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum revealed in an Instagram post Sunday that she’s currently doing a strict fast and not eating anything until after 6 p.m.
“Thanks to all of the chefs that are reaching out wanting to cook for me,” she wrote. “Trust me I want to eat but I am currently on a fast and can’t eat until after 6pm daily.”
The 53-year-old reality star accompanied her post with pics from the launch party for The Linnethia Lounge, her new entertainment lounge and restaurant. Guests for the soirée included Lamar Odom and “RHOA” stars Cynthia Bailey, Drew Sidora and Marlo Hampton, who indulged in an assortment of appetizers and cocktails from the menu.
Though it appears she had a good time at the event, Leakes admitted that she is still reeling from the loss of her husband, Gregg, who died on Sept. 1 at age 66 following a battle with colon cancer.

Leakes — who is a self-proclaimed snacker — lost 12 pounds in 2019 with the help of minor diet changes.
“I’m not doing anything crazy like doing the elliptical or riding the bike or running,” she told “Hollywood Life.” “I’m not a big eater. But what I started to do, was just have small portions. I feel like I eat about four times a day – four, sometimes five – just nibbling on stuff, and I feel really satisfied.”
Leakes’ most recent diet revelation came days after she shocked fans with a new — and heavily filtered — look on social media.
Leakes’ recent Instagram selfie raised eyebrows. InstagramNeNe previously explained how she’s been using distractions to help her get through the grieving process, including cosmetic alterations and staying in close company of loved ones.
“So I played in dark hair long enough. Now that I’m having to adjust to my new life. My new normal, I thought I’d go back to blonde,” she said on Instagram of her bright new ‘do.
“I have a whole group of people that’s coming to my house everyday doing different stuff with me,” she continued. “So. Trying to keep my mind off of… you know. Events that recently happened. Love you guys. I’m OK and I’m pushing through.”
