Britney Spears’ ex-assistant hasn’t spoken to the pop star despite her finally being freed from her 13-year conservatorship.
“I haven’t spoken to her in quite a while,” Felicia Culotta told Page Six exclusively at the Broadway opening of the musical “& Juliet” on Thursday.
The Louisiana native — who was by Spears’ side in the early days of her career — added that even though they haven’t been in touch recently, it hasn’t been for lack of trying on her part.
“I write all the time,” Culotta said. “I love handwritten letters.
“I just hope and pray she gets them. I know for sure before she wasn’t [in the past], so I’m very hopeful that she gets them [now].”
Spears, 40, was in a restrictive conservatorship from February 2008 to November 2021.
During most of this time, the “Stronger” singer’s father, Jamie Spears, was named as her conservator and he controlled her finances and personal affairs, including whom she communicated with.
Amid the rise of the #FreeBritney movement, several documentaries explored the injustices of the court-appointed guardianship.
Culotta was featured FX and Hulu’s “Framing Britney Spears” and the New York Times’ “Controlling Britney Spears.”
Speaking to Page Six, she reiterated that a lot of the backlash Jamie, 70, received has been well-deserved.

Culotta — who witnessed the pop star’s rise to stardom — then reminisced about Britney working with songwriter Max Martin, who also produced pieces for “& Juliet.”
“Max and Brit were so right on point on everything,” the former aid shared.
“They listened to her. They wrote songs about things that were on her mind. They included her in all the songwriting and they included me in all the shenanigans. So, I was grateful to be a part of it.”
Culotta spoke with Page Six at the debut of the Broadway musical “& Juliet.”Jenny AndersonAlthough Culotta has seemingly always had Britney’s back, the “Oops! … I Did It Again” singer recently revealed she did not appreciate her ex-assistant’s participation in the documentaries, noting that some anecdotes were allegedly “not even true.”
“The best part to me was when my old assistant talked about how I went through the neighborhood passing out 100 dollar bills when my first song came out !!!” the “Toxic” singer wrote in a now-deleted post on Twitter earlier this month.
“I wish I could go inside the heads of people like my dad and her and really try to understand why people lie and make up such things like that !!!”
Despite the criticism, Culotta told us she is “happy” that her former friend and boss now has the opportunity to speak up for herself.

She added, “I just hope that her wedding and all the good things that are happening in her life make her as happy as we want her to be.”
Britney tied the knot with fitness model and actor Sam Asghari in June, seven months after her conservatorship was finally terminated.
