Brittany Cartwright reveals why she wasn’t at Stassi Schroeder’s wedding

“Vanderpump Rules” alum Brittany Cartwright finally shared the reason she did not attend former co-star Stassi Schroeder’s wedding in Italy at the last minute.

Cartwright, 33, explained on the “Betches Moms” podcast Monday that she and husband Jax Taylor “had actual reasons” to skip the European ceremony in May, insisting she “would never in a million years do something like that on purpose.”

“[Our son] Cruz’s passport didn’t come in. My mom had a death in the family and had to go home,” she shared, promising listeners that she “really, really, really did want to be there” and “tried everything” in her power to make it happen.

Cartwright did, however, admit that she regrets having to break the news that she was not coming so last minute, revealing it ultimately caused drama between her and Schroeder, 33.

Cartwright teared up while talking about the riff, saying, “I know, like, having to wait ’til the last minute and not being able to be there for someone who I really do think of as one of my best friends, like, I feel terrible about, and I’m, like, truly sorry.”

Cartwright explained that prior to “some rifts” recently, she, Schroeder and “Vanderpump Rules” co-star Lala Kent had grown really close over the shared experience of motherhood.

“We’d been meeting up all the time. Like, we were always together. We did mommy-and-me classes and things like that,” she said.

Cartwright acknowledged that there is more to the drama between her and Schroeder that she was not willing to share, but she hopes that “one day we’ll be able to talk about this [and] figure it all out because I do want our kids to grow up together.”

The two are currently not speaking, but Cartwright said that she is “just going to give [Schroeder] time” to heal over the situation.

Cartwright and Taylor, 42, were some of the only “Vanderpump Rules” cast members Schroeder invited to the wedding.

Page Six exclusively reported that Tom Sandoval was not invited, and Scheana Shay had been disinvited.

The only co-stars in attendance were Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz, who are going through a divorce.

Schroeder and her husband, Beau Clark, share a 1-year-old daughter, Hartford. They legally married in September 2020 but waited for COVID-19 cases to drop before having the Italian celebration.

Schroeder previously claimed on her “The Good The Bad The Baby” podcast that Cartwright and Taylor had initially “RSVP’d yes” to her Italian nuptials but then talked “s–t” behind her back.

“Good friends don’t do that,” she said.
