Daughtry Calls On The ‘Rumors And Assumptions’ About Hannah Price’s Death To Stop

Singer Chris Daughtry is still mourning his daughter’s death.

His step-daughter, Hannah Price, was found dead in her home after reportedly suffering injuries; however, there are no details at this time as to how those injuries were sustained. The Tennessee District Attorney announced that they are not calling Price’s death a homicide.

Price, who left behind a young daughter, was a caring mother who loved spending time in nature and tending to her vegetable garden. Although fans want answers or the family, Daughtry’s wife, Deanna Daughtry, has issued a statement on Instagram asking for the speculation into his daughter’s death to stop.

Daughtry: ‘If You Have Information That You Feel The Police Should Know… Tell Them’

In a lengthy Instagram post, Daughtry posted a childhood photo of their daughter and asked people to stop making assumptions about what happened to the daughter.

The post began, “The news floating around that we said our daughter’s death is being investigated as a homicide is false! We were not told that and never said that to anyone! The day Hannah was found I shared some concerns I had with some people I know and said we won’t know anything for sure till after they complete the investigation. Someone took that and went running with it or they talked to someone else who then made assumptions and went running to the press with it.”

She warned against “jumping to conclusions.” She says that “having questions & concerns is one thing but harassing someone and calling them a murderer before all the facts are in is wrong on every level regardless of their history.”

She did not mention who she was referring to, but she did ask that “if you have information that you feel the police should know about this then tell them and let them do their job.”

The Daughtry Family Is Mourning The Loss Of Their Daughter

Daughtry revealed that “the people who loved her” are “not talking to the press, they are not spreading rumors and they sure as h— are not making this about themselves.”

She continued, “So everyone please just stop! Let the investigating officers do their jobs and please remember snippets of someone’s life does not define who they really are as a person. Hannah was on this earth with us for 25 years there is so much more to her story than what you are reading.”

“Please stop making it worse for those of us who love her by spreading rumors & saying disgusting things about our family. We are real people! Just because my husband has a public job does not mean this is OK to do.”

She ended her message by thanking the “beautiful humans who are sending us their prayers, love, and kindness during this time.” Although she stated that she would not respond to individual messages, “please know we are thankful for people like you.”

One week ago, Chris Daughtry shared a more recent photo of Hannah, explaining that the loss is hitting their family extra hard, as he just recently lost his own mother to cancer.

“Thank you all for your kind words and condolences,” he wrote. “They are truly felt and appreciated. I am now taking time to be present with my family as we attempt to heal from this devastating loss.”
