Gisele Bündchen has allegedly been contemplating divorce for “weeks” amid her marital issues with husband Tom Brady.
“Gisele has been talking to a divorce lawyer for a while but to my knowledge has not filed anything and is still talking to Tom about their issues,” a source told People in a story published on Wednesday.
“This is not something that just happened today.”
The source also acknowledged that the Victoria’s Secret Angel, 42, hasn’t made any final decisions regarding a divorce from the seven-time Super Bowl champion, 45.
“Many people talk to lawyers but don’t go through with it when the realities of money set in,” the insider added.
“But in this case, both sides have plenty, and it isn’t one-sided, so it could be a different situation.”
The source didn’t address any of Bündchen’s possible filing requests or her view on custody over the couple’s two children: son Benjamin, 12, and daughter Vivian, 9.

“I don’t think there will be any coming back now,” one insider recently told us. “They both have lawyers and are looking at what a split will entail, who gets what and what the finances will be.”
The couple’s argument stemmed from Brady’s decision to un-retire from his football career and continue playing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
“There’s been trouble in the marriage over his decision to un-retire. Gisele has always been the one with the kids,” one source told us last month.
“They had agreed he would retire to focus on the family, then he changed his mind.”
Since then, their relationship has only seemed to worsen. Both Bündchen and Brady temporarily moved to Miami prior to Hurricane Ian hitting their home in Tampa Bay, but a source told Page Six that they were staying in separate houses.
Bündchen is still camping out in Miami and was spotted twice this week without her wedding ring. During the second outing, she was dropping off their kids sans ring at the gym just hours after news broke of her hiring a divorce lawyer.
Despite keeping quiet about their marital woes, Brady and Bündchen have hinted at trouble in paradise over the last month.
“My children and I would like him to be more present,” Bündchen said of Brady in her September Elle cover, adding that she’s “definitely had those conversations with him over and over again.”
Meanwhile, Brady has continued emphasizing how “football and family” are his priorities and admitting he’s been “pretty emotional” as of late.
They tied the knot in February 2009, and in addition to their two kids, Brady also co-parents his son Jack, 15, with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.
