John Legend Shares Sex Advice For Parents

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are keeping it steamy in between the sheets.

Despite having three children together, and more recently a newborn, the singer has advice for parents wanting to keep “the spark” alive.

Legend is this week’s guest on Alex Cooper’s podcast, “Call Her Daddy.”

The Instagram account for ‘CHD’ released the teaser trailer for this week’s episode. It reveals that Legend will talk about his relationship with Kanye West, misconceptions about him as a person, the early days of his relationship with Teigen, and of course, keeping his sex life “alive and hot.”

Legend’s sex advice for parents is pretty straightforward.

“What is your best tip for keeping your sex life alive and hot,” Cooper asks Legend.

“LOCK THE DOOR… if you have kids,” he humorously responds.

“Does you mother-in-law live with you?” Cooper follows up.

“Yeah. If we ever want to have a good time… we gotta lock the door,” he explains.

Legend and Teigen have been together since the early 2000s. They met on the set of his music video for “Stereo.” The music video starred only the two of them, so they spent a lot of time “very up close and personal.”

They broke up for a brief period of time before they got engaged in 2011.

In the ‘CHD’ teaser, Legend touches on the early stages of their relationship and why it was difficult.

“Me still being in my mid-20s and being like, you know, selfish. I’m thinking about my career, I’m thinking about just… what’s going to be the best thing for me and not thinking of us as a couple as much,” he admitted.

The segment of the teaser ended there, but come Wednesday, there will be so much more tea to report on.

Legend and Teigen recently welcomed a baby girl named Esti Maxine Stephens.

They welcomed their most recent bundle of joy on January 13th.

Legend confirmed the arrival of their sweet baby girl during a private concert telling fans, that they welcomed “the little baby this morning” and that though he “didn’t get a lot of sleep” he felt “energized” after spending “a lot of time” at the hospital.

Speaking to People, she said, “It’s easy confidence-wise, and honestly, a lot of the time, confidence is everything with it. You’re just not so on edge and worried and you’re also not worried about what other people have to say as much.”

The couple have Luna and Miles together, and they tragically lost their infant son, Peter, during birth.

Teigen considers herself a seasoned professional parent at this point.

“You don’t take parenting advice from everybody like before,” she admitted. “I do not accept being shamed about anything. A lot of people think that they’re experts on everything, but when you have three of something like that, you know [what you’re doing].”

As picturesque as social media can make parenting seem, it’s been far from that for Teigen and Legend.

“I mean, we’ve seen everything happen. We’ve dealt with the stitches. We’ve had a toe almost come off. We’ve had broken bones. We’ve seen it all. It’s fine,” the “Cravings” author revealed.
