Kelly Dodd Trashes Lisa Vanderpump’s Food At SUR, Reviews Back Her Up

Kelly Dodd is the former housewife that fans lovvvveee to hate!

Since leaving (or getting fired) from the Real Housewives of Orange County, Dodd has fancied herself a podcast host and of course expert on housewives. She spills a lot of tea on her podcast Rick & Kelly UNMASKED but what she had to say this time came courtesy of another popular podcast.

Kelly Dodd Is A Food Critic In Her Spare Time

While appearing on ​​Discretion Advised With Marc MacNamara and John Hill, Dodd revealed that she had strong opinions about Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant Sur and the “disgusting” food they serve.

Dodd was asked about that time Vanderpump accused her of dining and dashing only to have egg on her own face and have to admit the fellow housewife did pay her bill before leaving. Instead of reliving the moment, Dodd trashed the heck out of the food.

“[The food is] horrible. You know that… You’ve eaten there,” said Dodd who tried to get the hosts in on the hate. “I ate at TomToms, which I thought was good… TomToms was good, but I don’t like SUR. I thought SUR was awful. SUR sucked,” joked the 46-year-old.

This is hard to believe considering that former SUR host and Vanderpump Rules cast member Stassi Schroeder couldn’t stop bragging about the goat cheese balls. Even going on her days off she would come to pick up orders. Did Dodd try those? Inquiring minds want to know.

Is Kelly Dodd Just Bitter?

Dodd got pretty hyped up when SUR and Vanderpump were brought up. But can you blame her? The cheeky Brit outright ran a campaign claiming she had on good authority that Dodd didn’t pay her bill.

She even banned Dodd from all her restaurants. In between her social media rants, Dodd provided receipts that she did indeed pay her bill even though she was unhappy with the food. Vanderpump publicly apologized for the “mix-up” and kept it moving.

As for Dodd, she may still be holding on to a grudge which would not be out of character for the controversial housewife. Dodd also shared that Vanderpump reached out personally. “She wrote me and said that she’d have me back at her restaurant and give me a free meal… I would never step foot in there,” stated Dodd. “There’s so many better restaurants in L.A.”

Kelly Dodd Noted Other Bad Reviews

Dodd and the podcast hosts danced around the point of SUR receiving other bad reviews on places like Yelp! And Google reviews. “We went there to celebrate a milestone – reservations made months in advance, with the expectation that it would top a beautiful weekend.   It ended up being flat, shared reviewer Kelly Burns.

The Google review went on to state. “The food is palatable, but not memorable, which may account for the darker than needed lighting – if you can’t see your food your expectations are lower.  The drinks were not great – they were pretty to look at, but not great.”

Maybe Dodd wasn’t overexaggerating?

Kelly Dodd Isn’t Being A Hater…

According to her of course. While there are a few more reviews that read like Dodd’s and other Google reviews, she maintains she isn’t a hater. She went to “TomToms” remember? And Vanderpump is part owner in that establishment so she can’t be a hater.

However, fans are chalking up Dodd’s outrageous comments and behavior to allegedly not being chosen to appear on season two of Ultimate Girls Trip. A few months back the mom of one was allegedly campaigning to be on the cast.

It apparently didn’t work out that way. The cast so far includes Jill Zarin, Tamra Judge, Vicki Gunvalson, Dorinda Medley, Phaedra Parks, Eva Marcille, Brandi Glanville, and Taylor Armstrong.
