Soho’s Lure Fishbar celebrates 20 year anniversary with ‘OG downtown New Yorkers’

The big fish came out to celebrate Lure Fishbar’s 20th anniversary.

The bash was bait for “a reunion of the OGs” — as one partygoer put it — for its birthday celebration on Tuesday.

And it was everything a seafood-scarfing, yacht-loving, nightlife crowd would expect: five hours of nonstop dancing, caviar bumps, an open bar, and stories of the good ol’ days on Mercer and Prince.

“Last night was like a reunion, an old-school downtown celebration,” owner John McDonald told Page Six the morning after.

A jovial McDonald and Chef Preston Clark worked the room, greeting over 300 guests including Maye Musk, Ann Dexter Jones, Candace Bushnell, and Dan Abrams individually. Clark doled out caviar bumps as Dexter Jones stood on the banquettes, dancing in one of the restaurant’s booths as DJ Kieren Taylor played classics by Prince, Madonna, and Janet and Michael Jackson, which also had former ‘The Real Housewives of New York” star Dorinda Medley hitting the dance floor.

“This dining room has packed in thousands of memories over the past 20 years and last night is yet another – as Preston often says, ‘Friday night in NYC, every night at Lure,” McDonald said.

And, of course, the party wouldn’t have been as special without McDonald’s partners in nightlife stopping by to fete 20 years of the nautical celeb hot spot, which counts Taylor Swift, Chris Rock, and LeBron James as some of its regulars.

David Rabin, Noah Tepperberg, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Monica Novo, Jean-Marc Houmard, Jonathan Morr, Scott Sartiano, Nur Khan, Carlos Quirarte, Nelly Moudime, and Roberrt Collins were just a few of McDonald’s longtime nightlife pals who popped in to cheers him.

We hear guests continued twirling at nearby bars The Mulberry and Temple after the celebration ended.
