Stormy Daniels To Testify Today In Hush Money Trial, Donald Trump Rages That It’s ‘Unprecedented’

Stormy Daniels is expected to take the stand today in Donald Trump's hush money trial. The former president has been accused of falsifying company records to facilitate a $130k payment to Daniels in a bid to silence her on an alleged one-night stand they had.

Daniels's testimony will unprecedentedly allow jurors to hear directly from her after her former lawyer, Keith Davidson, testified that it was his "understanding" that she and Trump made out.

According to reports, the former adult film star is expected to testify in Trump's New York hush money trial.

An attorney for Daniels, Clark Brewster, made the revelation after telling the Associated Press that Daniels is "likely" to be called as a witness in the trial today.

Trump has persistently denied having an affair with her and also pleaded not guilty to a 34-count indictment, alleging he falsified business records to pay her $130,000 to boost his electoral prospects in the 2016 presidential election.

In a now-deleted post on his Truth social platform, the former president raged about being informed who the potential witness would be, lamenting that his lawyers didn't have time to prepare.

"This is unprecedented," he shared before deleting the post, per the DailyMail. "No Judge has ever run a trial in such a biased and partisan way. He is CROOKED & HIGHLY CONFLICTED, even taking away my First Amendment Rights."

Trump added, "Now he's threatening me with JAIL, & THEY HAVE NO CASE - This according to virtually all Legal Scholars & Experts! Why isn't the Fake News Media reporting his Conflict?"

As the case continues, Trump has been found in contempt of court and risks going to jail if he continues to defy the gag order placed on him by Judge Juan Merchan.

According to the Daily Mail, judge Merchan blasted the billionaire politician for "continued and willful" violations of the gag order, which was put in place to prevent Trump from attacking witnesses and others whom Merchan says are important to the "fair administration of justice."

"I cannot allow that to continue. As much as I do not want to impose a jail sanction ... I will if necessary and appropriate," Judge Merchan remarked in court yesterday.

The case was recently blown open when Daniels'lawyer, Keith Davidson, took to the stand and said that Trump's alleged $130k payment to his client wasn't hush money as he's been accused of.

According to the New York Post, Davidson, in his testimony, claimed that it was his "understanding" that Trump and Daniels had had sex when she denied it in a 2018 letter but that the $130,000 payment he allegedly paid to buy her silence about the affair "wasn't a payoff."

Prosecutor Joshua Steinglass asked him if he understood at the time that Daniels had "in fact, had a sexual encounter with Donald Trump at some point?"

"That was my understanding," he replied. Davidson then opposed the tag of the payment, sharing that the payment "wasn't a payoff, and it wasn't hush money." He said he'd prefer to describe the remuneration as a "consideration."
