Tyler Cameron reveals he only had $200 when he was dating Gigi Hadid

“The Bachelorette” castoff Tyler Cameron revealed he had just $200 to his name when he was dating Gigi Hadid.

The reality star enjoyed a brief two-month romance with the supermodel in 2019, shortly after his stint on the hit ABC dating show.

Appearing on Monday’s episode of fellow Bachelor Nation alum Jason Tatrick’s podcast “Trading Secrets,” Cameron disclosed his lack of finances.

“He goes to me, ‘Dude, I don’t know what the f–k I’m doing. I got $5,000 in my bank account, I don’t know what my next job is, and I’m dating Gigi Hadid,'” Tatrick said.

“Not even $5,000, I had like $200, you know what I mean?” Cameron corrected him.

“I’d be going on dates — like this is in my early days of living in New York City. I’m living on Matt’s beanbag,” he said, referring to fellow Bachelor Nation alum Matt James.

“Have no money, but I’m like the happiest I’ve ever been ’cause like the world is wide open to me in New York City. I can do whatever I want,” he added.

Cameron recalled calling his dad from the bathroom to ask him for money to pay for the date he was on.

“I’d be going on dates, I’m like calling pops up in the bathroom. I’m like, ‘Pops, I don’t think my credit card’s gonna go through. I need you to send me some money right now.’ And he’s like, ‘You got it, son, go get it,'” Cameron remembered.

“When you go on a date with Gigi, and you only have $200 to your name, how do you pay for it? Do you ever have a story, like how are you managing that?” Tatrick asked.

“You’re just crossing your fingers at this point,” Cameron explained. “At this point, I don’t even know what a credit card is.”

“I got a straight debit card so when you hit zero, you hit zero, you know, so I’m just crossing my fingers, hoping it swipes, and it just kept swiping,” he added.

In July 2019, Hadid made the first move by following Cameron on Instagram while he was a contestant on Hannah Brown‘s season of “The Bachelorette.”

Cameron came in second place on the ABC dating show, but after Brown broke off her engagement to winner Jed Wyatt, she asked Cameron out for drinks.

The pair caught up in Los Angeles the same weekend as Cameron’s first date with Hadid.

After his short-lived romance with Hadid crumbled, Cameron was romantically linked to Camila Kendra and model Paige Lorenze.

Cameron and Lorenze called it quits in August just 3 weeks after going public with their romance.
