Police Report: Hotel Staff Reported Bob Saget Was ‘Cold To The Touch’

The initial investigation into ‘Full House’ star Bob Saget’s death indicates he might have been deceased for several hours, after hotel staff reported to police he was “cold to the touch” while they attempted to administer CPR to the comedian.

According to the police report, obtained by The Blast, a security guard inside of the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Orlando, Florida was the first to arrive on the scene and find the ‘Full House’ star unresponsive. Staff members immediately dialed 9-1-1 and desperately attempted CPR to save his life.

The security guard who entered the room reported to cops that “all the lights were off” when he found Saget lying in his bed. The responding police officer noted the hotel staff stated, “Mr. Saget was ‘cold to the touch, yellow and clammy.” The information is critical to figuring out Saget’s cause of death, and when he actually passed away. The description makes it appear that the legendary comedian might have passed several hours prior to them finding him.

Interestingly, the officer says the hotel spoke to their “legal team” before contacting Saget’s wife, Kelly Rizzo, to notify her of the comedian’s death.

“While on the scene, hotel management spoke to Mr. Saget’s wife over the phone to inform her of his passing. This decision was made after consulting with their legal team,” a responding officer wrote. In most cases, the Coroner or Medical Examiner’s Office is the one to inform family members of a person’s death.

As we reported, the police report detailed the responding officer’s description of Saget’s hotel room, claiming nothing appears to point towards foul play or drug use. “I checked the immediate area for signs of foul play. It should be noted none were found. The room itself was orderly with items owned by Mr. Saget on the nightstand, television stand, closet, and bathroom,” it read.

Mr. Saget was due to check out from [the hotel room] this date, and his family had been unable to get a hold of him. An autopsy on the comedian has been completed, and no official cause of death has been revealed.

Kelly Rizzo broke her silence about her husband’s untimely death, saying, “My whole heart. Bob was my absolute everything. I am so completely shattered and in disbelief. I am so deeply touched by the outpouring of love and tribute from our friends, family, his fans, and his peers.”
