Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reveal they met on Instagram: ‘Who is THAT?’

It’s a love story for the digital age.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle revealed their romance started thanks to the power of social media.

In their Netflix docuseries, “Harry & Meghan,” which was released on Thursday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex explained how their relationship came about in the summer of 2016.

“I was scrolling through my feed, and one of my friends and someone who was a friend had this video of the two of them, like a Snapchat,” Harry recalled.

After seeing the snap of Markle with a dog filter, the British prince was curious to know more.

“I was like, ‘Who is THAT?'” he shared.

Markle said her friend later told her that “Prince Haz” was interested in meeting her, but the nickname didn’t ring a bell for the American actress.

“I said, ‘Who’s that?'” she remembered.

“I asked if I could see his feed. That, to me, was the best barometer. So I went through, and it was just like beautiful photography and all these environmental shots and this time he was spending in Africa.”

Pleased with his feed, the pair exchanged phone numbers the very next day — kicking off a royal love story.

Harry said the pair were “constantly in touch” from then on, even though Markle initially wanted to “be free” and enjoy the summer as a single woman, according to her friend Lindsay Jill Roth.

“[Markle] had planned a single girl summer, and she had a lot of plans of going around Europe,” another friend, Lucy Fraser, added in the docuseries.

Even Markle herself confirmed that she “was really intent on being single and just having fun girl time” prior to falling for the royal.

“I had a career, I had my life, I had my path, and then along came H. Talk about a plot twist,” she said.

The couple got engaged the following year, married in 2018 and now share two children: son Archie, 3, and daughter Lilibet, 1. They quit their royal duties in 2020.
