Prince William, Prince Harry had dinner together after receiving Queen’s coffin

Prince William and Prince Harry sat down for dinner together, along with other royal family members, after receiving the late Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin Tuesday evening.

Page Six confirmed Wednesday that the estranged brothers attended the family meal inside Buckingham Palace in London.

We’re told their respective wives, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, were also present for the intimate sit-down.

Prior to the dinner, the Sussexes joined the royal family in meeting the Queen’s coffin as it arrived at Buckingham Palace from Scotland, where the longest-reigning British monarch died at the age of 96 last week.

Markle, 41, and Harry, 37, looked somber as they pulled up to the palace gates in a black car, as thousands of people gathered outside to watch the motorcade where the Queen’s coffin was being transported in a hearse.

William and Middleton, both 40, were also present, along with Queen Consort Camilla and King Charles III, who took over as ruler of the UK and Commonwealth upon his mother’s death.

Queen Elizabeth II’s death may have cleared the way for William and Harry to bury the hatchet amid family tensions.

The brothers and their respective spouses mourned the loss of the Queen when they honored her by bringing flowers to Windsor Castle over the weekend.

The appearance was significant as it was the first time the foursome gathered together publicly since March 2021 for Commonwealth Day.

A source told Page Six at the time that William had extended the invite for Harry and Markle to join him and Middleton for the Windsor walkabout.

“We are all very grateful — both sides putting all things aside for the Queen,” a royal source said.

Last week, Harry rushed to be by the Queen’s side after news broke that her health was failing. Markle did not join him over reported fears that she would not be welcomed by the family.

The Duke of Sussex sadly arrived hours after the Queen died. He shared an emotional statement in honor of his grandmother this week, stating that she will be “sorely missed.”

Tensions have been high between William and Harry ever since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex resigned from their royal duties and moved to California in 2020. Their feud escalated when the Sussexes sat down for a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey where they dished on the hardships of being in the royal family.

Markle alleged that a member of the royal family voiced concern over her and Harry’s son Archie’s skin color. She also claimed that “the firm” did nothing when she came forward about experiencing suicidal thoughts.

Markle also addressed rumors that she and Middleton had beef, claiming that the Princess of Wales made her cry days before her wedding – though other rumors claim it was actually Markle who made Middleton cry.

Winfrey, who is close friends with Markle, weighed in on the family feud, saying this week that there is definitely an “opportunity for peacemaking” amid the Queen’s death.

“When all families come together for a common ceremony, the ritual of, you know, burying your dead, there’s an opportunity for peacemaking,” she said. “Hopefully, there will be that.”

Earlier this week, William and Harry ere seen walking together behind the Queen’s coffin as it was taken to Westminster Hall on Wednesday.

King Charles III also expressed his love for Harry and Markle when he shared a touching tribute to his mother during his first public address as ruler of the UK and Commonwealth.

“I want also to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas,” King Charles said.
