Priscilla Presley trying to keep family ‘together’ after contesting Lisa Marie’s will

Priscilla Presley marked what would have been her daughter Lisa Marie’s 55th birthday on Wednesday by explaining that she’s looking to “protect” her family after contesting the late singer’s will.

“Today would have been Lisa’s 55th birthday. My wish is to protect my three grandchildren and keep our family together,” an exclusive statement from Priscilla to Page Six says.

“From the first moment I held Lisa in my arms, I’ve protected, loved and guided her, as I have my son. Our hearts are broken, and I am having to learn to live without my only daughter.”

Priscilla, 77, concludes her message by thanking fans for their support since Lisa Marie’s passing on Jan. 12.

“We truly love all of you, and we feel your prayers,” she says. “Thank you so much for caring so deeply for our family.”

The ex-wife of Elvis Presley began the process of contesting her daughter’s will, which had eliminated her and her former business manager years ago, just days after Lisa Marie was laid to rest at Graceland.

In court documents obtained by Page Six, Priscilla claimed Lisa Marie’s signature on a 2016 amendment appeared “inconsistent” and said her daughter’s name had been spelled wrong. As it stands, Lisa Marie’s daughter Riley Keough is set to inherit the estate, which has been put into a trust.

A source close to the late singer-songwriter told us after the filing that Priscilla’s attempt to invalidate the will is merely a “money grab.”

“She had no relationship with Priscilla, [her ex-husband] Michael Lockwood or her half-brother [Navarone Garibaldi],” our source shared.

Our source says that Lockwood, who had an acrimonious divorce from Lisa Marie, was not actually invited to his ex-wife’s memorial despite attending.

A second source also explained that Lockwood was not mentioned during the Jan. 22 service.

Lisa Marie, who died after suffering cardiac arrest, reportedly took out $35 million in life insurance policies before her death — but had accrued more than $4 million in debt.

The only daughter of the King of Rock ’n’ Roll and Priscilla was said to have filled out paperwork to receive a lump sum of $2 million, but the policy was never cashed in because of a clerical error.
