‘RHOSLC’ recap: Mary Cosby calls out Lisa Barlow for being ‘demeaning’

Try Jesus — not Mary Cosby.

Sunday night’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” saw the preacher call out Lisa Barlow for “demeaning” her after a tense group scene inside a stretch Hummer limo.

The fracas began after Cosby asserted that drinking carbonated beverages “hardens your ovaries,” an unverified fact that Barlow — a noted Diet Coke fiend — seemed to find amusing.

“Mary, I need to Google that. Is that real? Is that a thing?” Barlow, 46, asked, to which Cosby, 48, shot back, “Everything I say, you gotta Google it? Don’t do that. Please don’t do that to me.”

After a fiery exchange of words inside the limo, Barlow approached Cosby to make amends once the cast reached their snow-tubing destination.

“What was that?” the Vida Tequila CEO asked.

Mary Cosby and Angie H on The verbal tussle began after Cosby asserted that drinking carbonated beverages “hardens ovaries.”

“I don’t like how you speak. It’s demeaning,” Cosby told her co-star outside. “Either you’re my friend or you’re not. But you don’t talk to me [like that].”

Cosby then accused Barlow of trying to “belittle” her. “Don’t talk to me like I’m beneath you because I’m not. Know that,” Cosby said, later adding, “You kept talking about Google things that I say. Why? Is it because I’m black?”

Barlow told Cosby that the implication that her comment was racially charged was “ridiculous.” Barlow also offered a stern warning to Cosby if she were to ever suggest such a thing in the future: “If you come at me again like that, then we’re going to have another conversation because it’s not OK. It’s one-sided.”

Heather Gay, Meredith Marks and Lisa Barlow on Barlow (right), a noted Diet Coke enthusiast, offended Cosby by telling her she wanted to Google the unverified fact.

In an earlier confessional, Cosby explained that Barlow’s doubts “triggered” her. “Well, how about we Google what she says? ‘Cause most of the time she’s lying,” she told the camera. “Oh, did I just say that?”

Later in the evening, the pair established that they were “good” and had moved on from the drama.

However, it looks like they’ll find themselves at odds again next episode when Barlow’s late friend, Salt Lake City community leader Cameron Williams, sheds light on rumors that Cosby’s controversial Faith Temple Pentecostal Church secretly operates as a “cult.”

“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
