MAC is honoring Whitney Houston — and celebrating her iconic sense of style.
On Thursday, the cosmetics label dropped a limited-edition makeup collection featuring seven products inspired by the late music icon’s beauty favorites.
The collection comes ahead of the upcoming Houston biopic “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” debuting Dec. 23, and was reportedly even used on set.
“Whitney was always a champion of women feeling beautiful, whether it was a major event or just for everyday wear,” Pat Houston, the singer’s sister-in-law and executor of her estate, said in a press release.
“That iconic red lip was always a favourite of hers,” she added, noting the the eye and lip products both come in shades the star “loved to work with.”
Fittingly, the MAC x Whitney Houston Lipstick ($23) is available in four pink and red hues, including a classic bold red dubbed “Nippy’s Rich Red” after the singer’s childhood nickname Nippy.

For a more shimmering smile, the collection also includes a glossy MAC x Whitney Houston Lip Glass ($23) in two more special-edition shades — which the brand says can stand alone or be layered with lipstick, as was one of Houston’s signature styles.
MACShimmer also abounds elsewhere in the superstar-inspired line thanks to the Extra Dimension Skinfinish Highlighter ($44) and Powder Blush ($31).
And if it’s the star’s eyeshadow looks you’re channeling, there’s also the Whitney’s Nippy Eye-Conic Palette ($45) — which contains eight smoky shades — and the 80 Romantic Lash ($20).
MACPlus, to tote your favorite products in style, the collection is completed with a mirrored makeup bag, dubbed Nippy’s Clutch ($40), so you can dance with someone hands-free.
