Tori Spelling’s friends ‘not surprised’ by apparent Dean McDermott split

Tori Spelling’s friends aren’t surprised that the star is seemingly headed for a divorce from her husband of 15 years, sources tell us. They also say she’s “cut people off” in her life.

Just a day after Page Six spotted Tori Spelling looking upset outside an attorney’s office flashing a notepad that had the words “custody,” “support” and “assets” scrawled on it, friends seem to be shrugging their shoulders.

“Her friends are surprised [a divorce] didn’t happen years ago,” says a source. Adding of her husband of 15 years, Dean McDermott,  “No one is a fan of his.”

Our source tells us that while friends are not shocked that the star appears to be ditching her man, they note she also seems to have cut loose some so-called pals.

“She’s cut people off,” says the source. “None of her old friends talk to her much. They used to have girls nights all the time before the pandemic. They don’t anymore.”

Spelling, 48, and McDermott, 54, have been battling divorce rumors for months. In March, she was spotted without her ring. She later stated that they sleep in separate rooms.

McDermott called speculation over the relationship “weird” on a podcast in September, saying, “‘What’s going on with Tori and Dean? She’s not wearing her ring.’ Why do you need to know that? How is that going to affect your day?”

In 2013, McDemott reportedly cheated on the former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star.

Spelling was spotted this week yelling on her cellphone outside a lawyers office in Los Angeles. A closeup of the legal pad she was carrying said: “Pig pen – get quote,” “AAA Jump Start Van” and finally “3pm Lawyer – assets – support – custody.”

Spelling and McDermott — who wed in 2006 — share five children Liam, 14, Stella, 13, Hattie, 10, Finn, 9, and Beau, 4.
