Trey Songz has gone through various legal woes over the last several years, and has been garnering more attention, than his music. Now, the latest incident is in regards to this past weekend, in Las Vegas.
Trey Songz Accused Of Sexual Assault
According to TMZ, Trey is being accused of sexual assault, while he was visiting The Cosmopolitan. This was revealed, by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Law enforcement officials added that it’s still not confirmed what day this alleged incident occurred, but the police report was completed, on Sunday.
No Arrests Have Been Made Yet
According to the report, Trey is also said to be cooperating, while speaking with authorities. It is also being stated, that there have been no arrests yet, either. During this past weekend, Trey celebrated his 37th birthday, and celebrated at Drai’s Nightclub, as he is one of their resident artists, as well.
As for what allegedly happened at The Cosmopolitan, a source at the scene claims that Trey and his crew brought back a group of women. From that point, it’s being assumed that that’s when the alleged sexual assault incident occurred, on Trey’s part.
Trey Was Involved In Police Altercation In January
Back in January, Trey was involved in another high-profile legal incident. This involves a physical altercation with a police officer, at the AFC Championship Game, at Arrowhead Stadium, in Kansas City. This game was between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs.
Allegedly, the officer confronted Trey about not wearing a mask. Soon, attendees, claimed that the officer threw a punch at the R&B star, first. Trey went on to be arrested for trespassing and resisting arrest, which were misdemeanors. There was also a charge for assaulting a police officer, which was classified as a low-grade felony.
In April, all charges went on to be dropped. This was reportedly due to The Prosecutor’s Office for Jackson County, MO, claiming that there was a “lack of evidence,” to bring these charges forward.
Trey Was Also Accused Of Hit-And-Run Incident
In May, more legal woes continued to haunt Trey. According to TMZ, this involved a road rage incident, where Trey hit a woman’s car, and her hand, with his car. This was said to have happened on the sixth.
The woman’s hand ended up being hit, after Trey allegedly sped off, after hitting her car. Police went on to file a hit-and-run report, as the singer wasn’t at the scene, when they arrived. The woman went on to state that her hand was in pain, but didn’t decide to receive any medical treatment for it.
There was also no indication that she and Trey had any form of the previous relationship. Sources close to Trey’s team, also denied that he had any involvement, in her injuries. At this point, the investigation for this case still hasn’t been resolved, and Trey has yet to face any charges.
