If there's something strange in the neighbourhood, who you gonna call? Goatbusters.

Gardaí have said they are currently attending reports of a small herd of goats on the loose in Cork city this morning.

Eyewitnesses told JOE that about five or six unaccompanied goats were wandering around St Luke's Cross at around 8.45am on Thursday.

One witness said the goats looked clean and well looked after.

Cork Safety Alerts urged motorists in the area to be careful until the herd can be rounded up safely.

While a group of goats is usually referred to as a "herd", the proper term for a number of goats is actually a "tribe" or a "trip".

A Garda spokesperson told JOE: "Gardaí are currently attending reports of goats loose on Middle Glanmire Road in the Montenotte area of Cork city, today, 19th August 2021.

"Enquiries have been made and no offences have been reported."

Thankfully, the situation doesn't sound too baaaaaaaad.
