Nia Long Has Her ‘Eye On One Person’ After Ime Udoka Split

Nia Long may still be single, but she is definitely moving on from her relationship with her longtime partner Ime Udoka following his cheating scandal.

Since the heartbreaking split, the award-winning actress has been spotted in the arms of a few male celebs, and now she is hinting that a particular unknown person seems to have drawn her attention.

Nia Long Says She Will Never Reveal Her New Love Interest While Staying Single

Long recently showed up on the much-loved “Drew Barrymore Show” to speak on her relationship status, revealing that she is “enjoying the single life.” However, the actress is not done with finding love, at least not yet.

She teased viewers with news of her possible love interest but failed to divulge more about the said person. “I have my eye on one person,” the “Love Jones” actress shared. “I’m not saying. I’m never telling.”

She also opened up about the perks and downsides of dating apps, prompting her to express her nervousness about such platforms. When host Drew Barrymore conveyed her fondness for dating, especially through dating apps, Long admitted that she was “nervous” about dating.

Barrymore apparently uses the apps because they work for her, as no one asks her out in real life. “Everyone’s running home to the app,” she stated. “I don’t want to be rejected in public. I’ll do it in private.”

Despite the revelation of having someone in mind, when the “Charlie’s Angels” actress asked Long if she was single, the guest star replied with a resonating, “I’m so single.”

While speaking with Barrymore, she implied that she was in no hurry to get into another relationship. “I’m still processing,” she admitted. “I feel very free. I feel liberated. I feel like a whole weight was lifted off of me in a way.”

Long added that she felt “so good” following the end of her lengthy relationship with Udoka like she was wearing her old jeans once more. Moreover, she planned on being careful with whom she stood on a red carpet, given that she dated several people whose middle names she did not know.

About a week before the interview, the “Empire” actress addressed dating rumors about her and musician Omarion after he shared a video of them briefly holding hands at the “You People” premiere.

Not to mention, the music star captioned the post with a blushing emoji, unsurprisingly causing a stir on social media. In a report by The Shade Room, captioned, “The smile on # Omarion’s face says it all! – #NiaLong,” the “Third Watch” star took to the comments to pen, “Everybody simmer down… I’m single AF.”

Long Sparked Dating Rumors With Terrence J

Shortly after the speculations surrounding Omarion, Long again sparked romance rumors. One of her most recent dates was with TV presenter and actor Terrence J who was seen with her at the Atlantis The Royal Hotel in Dubai, where Beyoncé had her first performance in half a decade.

Per The Blast, the duo looked intimate as fans got a view of them in two viral videos of Terrence opening the car door for Long during their night out, causing a ton of gushing remarks. The initial footage showed the celebs having a laugh as the “The Best Man” actress tried to get out of the low-ride McLaren with the entertainer’s assistance.

Afterward, they were headed back to the car in the second clip after their supposed date, as shown on The Shade Room’s feed.

Long’s date could be heard asking what they were doing as they strolled towards the vehicle. He was also seen imploring the attendant standing close by to “very slowly put the door down on Nia.”

Long finally bared her thoughts about her ex-fiancé’s unfaithfulness with a fellow Boston Celtics staffer, which made headlines ahead of the holiday season. The “Big Momma’s House” star reflected on those moments with Yahoo Entertainment during which she got emotional and had to fan her tears away.

The 52-year-old described the last few months as “pretty devastating” but noted she had to reassure herself that it was alright and pick herself back up. “Oh, my god. I’m about to cry,” she confessed before saying, “You’ll pick yourself back up and keep moving.”

Her former partner Udoka was suspended as head coach of the Celtics and released a public statement apologizing for “putting the team in this difficult situation.”
