Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino defends calling cops on estranged brother

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is defending his decision to call the police on his estranged brother, Maximo Sorrentino.

After an Instagram user called the “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” star “despicable” for “calling the cops on his own brother,” Mike jumped at the chance to explain the situation on his own terms.

“A responsible adult protecting his family from an estranged family member who has fall [sic] prey to mental illness from long term meth addiction,” Mike, 39, replied. “A rational adult who just put down his baby to sleep at 8pm and the doorbell was ringing obsessively at 8:30pm!!”

The reality star went on to explain that he already filed a harassment claim against Maximo in July. Mike alleged that his brother’s behavior has been “despicable for months” and that the entire family has him blocked on social media, including their mother, Linda Sorrentino.

“We just want him to get help and he is refusing,” Mike added. “In conclusion go f–k yourself.”

Page Six reported earlier this week that Maximo allegedly showed up to Mike’s New Jersey home – unannounced – with gifts for the reality star’s infant son, Romeo, who was born in May.

Maximo allegedly rang the doorbell excessively, looked in a window and lingered around outside for a while before finally leaving, which is when Mike made the phone call to police, according to TMZ.

Mike also shared a screenshot of his defensive response to his Instagram feed, to show fans what it’s like to prioritize “the health and safety of your wife and newborn baby.”

“When someone chooses drugs over themselves only they can fix their problems,” the “Dancing With the Stars” alum, who has been sober for six years, wrote in the caption.
