Oreo drops new cookie, despite Dionne Warwick’s epic shade

Dionne Warwick will definitely be retaliating now.

Oreo has released another wild new flavor after the unofficial queen of Twitter massively shaded the cookie company for not sticking to the hits.

To celebrate its 110th birthday, the Nabisco-owned cookie brand is dropping a new limited-edition flavor. Chocolate Confetti Cake Oreos will be hitting grocery stores starting Jan. 31, and and are also available for preorder online.

The chocolate cookie features rainbow sprinkles in the creamy filling and on the sandwich sides. The creme filling has both chocolate and vanilla layers for extra sweetness.

But not everyone will be celebrating. Warwick, 81, recently took to Twitter to voice another one of her white-hot opinions, this time that Oreo’s extensive array of flavor variations was wholly unnecessary and gauche.

“Why are y’all doing the most? The one flavor was fine,” Warwick questioned of the cookie brand.

Oreo reciprocated by sending Warwick a care package of its less well-known merchandise, a move she felt was a bit aggressive.

“After asking @Oreo to stick to the original flavor, they sent me these outrageous items as a response,” she informed her followers, alongside a photo of Oreo-flavored lip balm and a package of Java Chip Oreo cookies.

“I will be retaliating at a later date,” she promised.

No word yet from Warwick on the new flavor.
