Anderson shared the information in her latest Netflix documentary, “Pamela: A Love Story,” where she also talked about the impact of her modeling career and her viral sex tape on her kids.

Anderson’s latest Netflix documentary looked into the impact of her stint as a Playboy model on her two boys, Brandon and Dylan.

The “Baywatch” alum, who shares the two kids with her ex-husband Tommy Lee, stated that she did not consider how “embarrassing” being a model for the risqué magazine would later play out for her children.

“I wasn’t thinking when I was in Playboy that I was going to have kids soon and they were gonna grow up, and it was gonna be embarrassing for them,” she recalled, per Daily Mail.

But when she did give birth to children, she thought she would have ample time to sit down and discuss her modeling career with them. Sadly, her kids found out earlier about her past, including details of her infamous sex tape.

She added, “But I always thought I’d tell them, age-appropriate – but I never got the chance – they always found out before I could really talk to them about it. But a tape of your parents having sex is another level.”

Anderson’s kids, who were also featured in the Netflix documentary, had a lot to say about the sex tape. 26-year-old Brandon said he was shocked to learn that many people knew “dirty little secrets” about his family that they shouldn’t have known in the first place.

He recalled becoming enraged when he occasionally encountered trolls who brought up his mother’s past. He said, “I just remember in school, if anyone ever brought up my mum, I was very quick to fight. I would flush with anger.”

Meanwhile, Dylan once broke down in tears in front of his mother, asking her why she made the tape. Both sons hinted in the documentary that their reaction to the infamous sex tape might have been different if Anderson had made some money from its distribution.

How The Sex Tape Went Viral

Anderson and Lee had made the sex tape during a vacation for their honeymoon in 1995, subsequently storing it in a safe in their home.

However, it was stolen by Rand Gauthier, an electrician who worked in the couple’s house. This occurred after Lee refused to pay Gauthier for the work he had done, leading him to run off with the safe that contained the sex tape.

Later, the pornographic film found its way to Seth Warshavsky, who at first broadcast it online before attempting to negotiate a distribution deal with Pamela and Tommy.

Ultimately, the tape’s sales are said to have brought in hundreds of millions of dollars, but Warshavsky reportedly kept all the profits.

The ex-couple would later sue Warshavsky and get judgments against him totaling $740,000 apiece, but they apparently never received any money.

Almost two decades after the sex tape incident, Anderson no longer commands the same level of attention she did when she was younger.

However, in a recent appearance on Dax Shepard and Monica Padman’s podcast, Armchair Expert, the actress shared that she is eager to embrace her new age and all the changes that come with it.

“I can’t wait to see myself old,” she said, per People. “I always said I’d recognize myself when I was old in the mirror. I want to let my hair go kind of natural gray, put my little straw hat on, don’t wear makeup. I mean, that’s my comfortable kind of state.”

She went on to say that, unlike some other “classic beauties,” she has had no “hard time with aging” since she never saw herself in the same light as the mainstream media placed her in.
