Pink got the party started with a little help from Cher.
The singer, 43, stunned on the 2022 American Music Awards red carpet in a dress that came directly from another music icon.
“I’m wearing Bob Mackie. This is from Cher’s closet. I asked her if I could borrow some Bob Mackie tonight,” Cher told Extra on the red carpet, referencing her black and gold sequined mini-dress with a thigh-baring slit and a zig-zagging lightning bolt down the front. The backless mini’s sequin skirt also had shocking layers of green and orange.
“I am honoring a legend,” she said, referencing Olivia Newton-John, who she paid tribute to by performing her hit “Hopelessly Devoted To You.”
“In the spirit of that, I should honor other legends as well, and that’s Cher and Bob Mackie,” the “So What” singer said. The legendary designer, 82, was behind many of Cher’s most iconic creations throughout her career.
“It’s been five years since my last @amas … (hanging off the building) so I asked @bobmackie and @cher if I could borrow a couple of legendary dresses. This is the first,” Pink shared on Instagram.
Called the “earthquake dress,” the fringe style is from Mackie’s 1987 California collection.
During her performance, the star changed into a glittering blush gown with dramatic feathers which Mackie originally created for Cher’s “Here We Go Again” Tour.
The “Raise Your Glass” songstress brought a crew to the award show for her big night, walking the red carpet alongside her family, including husband Carey Hart, daughter Willow, 11, and son Jameson, 5.

She revealed on Instagram that her biker husband, 47, “ripped his pants” ahead of Sunday night’s show. In the playful video, he joked, “The ass blew out of my pants.”
And the singer knocked everyone’s socks off with her performance.
