Trump’s improbable legal saga with porn star Stormy Daniels has reached a new high following the court’s decision to award the ex-president a victory in the defamation lawsuit Daniels filed against him.
With a slew of ramifications coming for the porn actress, Daniels appears to be throwing caution to the wind, stating the court’s decisions will not bind her.
Stormy Daniels Vows Not To Pay Trump attorneys’ fees
Daniels, whose actual name is Stephanie Clifford, tweeted Monday that she will not follow last Friday’s federal appeals court verdict, likely ending her legal battle with Trump over an alleged sexual encounter in 2006.
To confirm her resolve, Daniels tweeted on Monday, “I will go to jail before I pay a penny,”

The court verdict had earlier dictated that she pays over $300,000 in attorneys’ costs to former President Donald Trump due to her losing the defamation case. While the actress appears to be sticking to her guns and refusing to accept to pay any money, there is no way of knowing what the court will do to guarantee that its ruling is followed.
Months in prison, property seizures and other legal procedures to recover the money owed from the adult film star are all possibilities that the law could pursue in the coming weeks.
Donald Trump Called The Verdict A Victory For Him
MEGAAs Per CNBC, The ruling of the 9th Circuit backed up Trump’s claims that he never had sex with Daniels. The verdict was also touted as a complete triumph and vindication for himself by the ex-president on Monday.
“The lawsuit was a purely political stunt that never should have started or allowed to happen, and I am pleased that my lawyers were able to bring it to a successful conclusion after the court fully rejected her appeal,” Trump rejoiced. “Now, all I have to do is wait for all the money she owes me.”

Stormy Daniels Said Trump Won The Case On A Technicality
Daniels said Trump won the lawsuit “on a technicality” because her then-attorney Michael Avenatti failed to timely file a notice of appeal in her defamation action. She revealed this information in a lengthy Twitter post on Tuesday, further demonstrating her dissatisfaction with her weekend loss.

In defense of their decision, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals had earlier stated that Daniels’ appeal of the attorneys’ fees issue was barred because she failed to file a notice of appeal within the 30-day time set by a federal court that awarded the costs to Trump.
In the same verdict that granted Trump attorneys’ fees, the appeals court decided the same judge had appropriately inserted another $1,000 in sanctions against Daniels for other issues.
Donald Trump And Stormy Daniel’s Lawyers Legal Troubles
MEGAConcerning the court dispute, both Daniels’ and Trump’s former attorneys, Michael Avenatti and Michael Cohen, have been convicted of felonies.
Avenatti received a guilty verdict last month for defrauding almost $300,000 in book-advance money from Daniels, who detailed the alleged affair in her 2018 “Full Disclosure,” which included a prologue by Avenatti. On May 24, the disgraced attorney will be sentenced for his conviction on wire fraud and aggravated identity theft charges, which could land him in jail for up to 22 years.
