The actress, who already has two daughters, Matilda, five, and Delilah, two, opened up on feeling exhausted come the afternoon, insisting that people shouldn’t be ‘tough’ on themselves while expecting a child.

In a lengthy caption, she wrote: ‘I don’t have the same energy when I’m pregnant. I find I’m all raring to go and on top form and have energy in the morning but in the evening… usually gets to 5/6pm I’ve then just had enough.

‘We can’t give ourselves a tough time when we are pregnant, after all we are growing another human being.’

Giving an insight into what her evenings look like, she continued: ‘My evening routine after I’ve finally got the girls asleep, is switching off my mind and enjoying yoga or meditation.

‘I’m someone who always runs around and I find it hard to switch off but this helps me. It calms my mind and releases any anxiety. Then I enjoy a chamomile tea and it’s bath and bed.’

Helen then went on to reveal that she avoids using technology in the evenings as it gives her a ‘headache’ and instead prefers to relax.

She said: ‘I don’t like watching the tv in the evenings or box sets on the iPad… I feel like it gives me a headache… anyone else have any wierd things like this when pregnant. [sic]

‘I use the Truconnect app for my evening relaxation of yoga or meditation. They have a range of meditation audio tracks and there is also a collection of ebooks for many topics including enjoying your baby. I love my little meditation session with bump.’
