Mandy Moore has canceled her “In Real Life” tour due to her pregnancy.
The singer shared a message on Instagram Tuesday explaining to her fans that she felt it was best to call off her remaining 2022 concert dates as she and her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, prepare for the arrival of their second son.
“It has been an honor and an absolute dream to return to the stage again this past month, performing for all of you,” she began “with a heavy heart.”
Moore went on to say that she initially thought she could handle the tour while expecting, but she ultimately realized she underestimated the effect it would have on her.
“When we booked these shows, I wasn’t pregnant and although I truly thought I could power through, the way we are traveling (long hours on the bus and not getting proper rest) has caught up, taken its toll, and made it feel too challenging to proceed,” she wrote. “I know that I have to put my family and my health (and the health of my baby) first and the best place for me to be right now is at home.”
The “This Is Us” star assured ticket-holders that they would be “refunded at place of purchase.”

Moore, 38, and Goldsmith, 36, wed in November 2018 and welcomed their first son, August “Gus,” in February 2021.
The actress announced earlier this month that she was pregnant again, captioning an Instagram post, “Baby Boy Goldsmith #2 coming this fall! Gus is gonna be the BEST big brother!!”

Just before announcing the tour’s cancellation, Moore revealed that Goldsmith, who is the lead singer of folk band Dawes, tested positive for COVID-19 before their show in Nashville on Sunday, forcing him to perform while quarantined in his dressing room.

“But right after the first song, Mandy welcomed everybody and was like, ‘By the way, if you were wondering where that solo came from …’ and put it all out on the table. I was able to say ‘hi’ from the back, and everyone laughed.”
