Priyanka Chopra Marks ‘Happy Holi’ With Hilarious Photo Featuring Husband Nick Jonas

Priyanka Chopra and her husband, Nick Jonas, are making merry with the Hindu festival, Holi, and fans are loving every bit of it!

The adorable couple who share a little girl Malti marked the festival of colors in style, and Chopra could not help but share the merriment with fans on social media.

The “Krrish” actress and her sweetheart seemed to be having the best time as they celebrated Holi on Wednesday, March 8, months after marking the annual festival of lights, Diwali. 

On Instagram, she wished those partaking in the holiday a “Happy Holi” and shared a picture of herself and Jonas soaked in different paint colors in honor of the day. The “Camp Rock” alum was captured as he was about to throw paint on his wife while she had a comical expression with her mouth wide open.

Both movie stars donned shorts and a shirt while they were totally drenched in green, blue, yellow, and purple paint from head to toe. The background showed they were snapped in a yard with a table behind them, covered with a colorful blanket. 

After sending a goodwill message to fellow celebrators, Chopra wrote, “As u can tell, we take it very seriously [laughing heart emoji],” indicating how invested the couple was in the Holi celebrations.

According to reportys, Holi, the Hindu festival of colors, is honored every spring by people around the globe who throw colored water and powders on each other in a delightful celebration.

It is the full-moon day of the Hindu month of Phalguna, and “societal rankings are eschewed in the spirit of making merry together,” with everyone being a target to be drenched with colorful water. 

The festival’s traditions vary nationwide and are well rooted in Indian mythology. In a number of locations, Holi is associated with the fable of Hiranyakashipu, a demon king in ancient India. Hiranyakashipu used his sister Holika’s help to murder his son Prahlada, a devout worshipper of Vishnu, a Hindu deity.

However, things went sideways when Holika tried to burn Prahlada by sitting with him on a pyre, wearing a fame-resistant cloak, but instead, the cloak protected Prahlada. Later that night, Vishnu killed Hiranyakashipu, and this has been seen over the years as a triumph of good over evil, leading many places in India to mark Holi by lighting a large pyre the night before the festival.

On the other hand, Krishna and Radha’s narrative is predominant in other places, establishing the concept of colored water and powder throwing.

Krishna is a Hindu deity who fell in love with the fair-skinned milkmaid, Radha but was embarrassed about his dark blue skin, causing him to paint her face during a game playfully.

As for the Chopra-Jonas,’ Holi is not the only Hindu festival they have acknowledged as they marked Diwali last October with their infant daughter, Malti.

Remember that the lovebirds welcomed their bundle of joy via surrogacy in January 2022, making last year’s Diwali her first celebration of her mother’s culture.

The “Isn’t It Romantic” actress shared nine beautiful snaps on Instagram showing the family, including her mother, dressed in style for the occasion, sporting nude-colored ensembles. She captioned the post with a touching message that partly read, “Love, peace, and prosperity to all. From a heart truly laden with gratitude. I wish you all a Happy Diwali.”

Chopra concluded with a Hindu phrase and added, “From ours to yours. Love and light,” after which fans rushed to the comments to send prayers and wish the family well.

Last month, Chopra and her family had the best getaway in Aspen which her partner unsurprisingly shared with fans on Instagram.

The uploaded images showed the family of three having fun in the snow with the 30-year-old father wearing a black and white parka while his spouse donned a plaid parka. The threesome huddled together as their backs faced the camera. Jonas had his arms around Chopra’s waist while the Indian actress carried their daughter.

In one picture from the slideshow, the doting parents were seen playing in the snow, and in another slide, they struck an intimate pose with Chopra laying on top of her love and wrapping her hands around his neck.

As expected, commenters flooded the update with gushing messages calling the family “beautiful” and labeling them “couple goals!”
